Thank you for visiting my galleries. I really appreciate your time and interest. We live and work on a quarter section of land an hour north of the Twin Cities. The farm has been named Toad Hill. This name was come upon by the prevalence of both toads and frogs: both indicators of a healthy ecosystem. We also view ourselves as stewards of this land, merely taking care and improving it leaving it a better place after our time is done. My studio is the converted granary, one of several out buildings. We have many garden areas, a pond and a pergola overlooking our valley. Having been a floral designer for years I try to keep a wide range of flowers, especially those with fragrance in the yard and house. At present we have one full time animal on the farm: Loretta the cat. She appeared at our porch door several years ago, tiny, and hungry. She has been a huge gift to us, following as we work in the gardens and even walking with us down the driveway to retrieve the mail. Joining her this year are 17 steers. Thanks again and if you are interested in any of my works please contact me by clicking here: I would love to hear from you! Mark |
